Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Communications Leader to lead and oversee the company's global marketing communication team. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving the development and execution of comprehensive marketing communications plans that elevate the Avient brand, engage key stakeholders, and support business growth initiatives. The Senior Manager will collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful marketing strategies across all channels.
Essential Functions
oDevelop and implement a global marketing communications strategy aligned with Avient's overall business goals and objectives.
oLead the marketing communications team, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure effective execution of all projects.
oCollaborate with senior leadership to identify key business priorities and translate them into actionable marketing communication plans.
oEnsure consistency and integrity of the Avient brand across all internal and external communication platforms.
oOversee the development and execution of messaging and positioning strategies to strengthen brand awareness, reputation, and customer loyalty.
oBuild and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and industry influencers.
oManage public relations efforts, including press releases, media outreach, and crisis communications.
oDrive thought leadership initiatives to position Avient as an industry leader in innovation and sustainability.
oLead the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, content creation, and website management.
oEnsure content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and drives engagement with key audiences.
oMeasure and analyze digital campaign performance to optimize ROI.
oOversee internal marketing messaging to ensure alignment and engagement across the organization.
oFoster a culture of communication, collaboration, and transparency across all levels of the company.
oPlan, coordinate, and manage key industry events, trade shows, and corporate sponsorships.
oEnsure successful execution of events that enhance brand visibility and support sales and marketing objectives.
oDevelop and manage the marketing communications budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities.
oTrack key metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on performance, achievements, and areas of improvement.
oWork closely with sales, product management, and other key departments to develop and support integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.
oPartner with global teams to ensure marketing communications strategies are tailored to local markets and customer needs.

Essential Functions
- Strategic Leadership:

oDevelop and manage the marketing communications budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities.
oTrack key metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on performance, achievements, and areas of improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
oWork closely with sales, product management, and other key departments to develop and support integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.
oPartner with global teams to ensure marketing communications strategies are tailored to local markets and customer needs.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing communications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally within a global, B2B, or manufacturing environment.

- Expertise in project management, budget management, and multi-channel marketing strategies.
- Experience with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.
