Position Description
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation's largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Seattle City Light has one of the longest-running energy conservation programs in the country and we've accomplished this distinction in large part because of our team of dedicated, forward-thinking employees. The Customer Operations Division is seeking 2 Sr. Management Systems Analysts to serve as a project lead in system design, development, integration and implementation of technology solutions that support these energy conservation and customer-centric programs. These positions works closely with the Customer Energy Solutions, Customer Experience, Customer Operations, Electrification & Strategic Technologies teams. You will learn about customer support and energy conservation programs offered by the Utility, and will design, configure and support technology as a key tool for these programs. These positions will report to the Customer Technology Solutions Sr. Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Here is more about what you'll be doing:
Provide day-to-day operational support for customer-centric systems including but not limited to, managing user access, creating workflow rules, analyzing data, creating reports, and monitoring system performance.
Support multiple applications including Powerpath (critical for conservation regulatory reporting and compliance), COA/CRESS (online application for customers requesting electric service), UAP-A (Utility Assistance Program automation system that is both customer-facing and back-office workflow for processing applications for assistance from vulnerable communities.
Manage intake queue of defects and user enhancement requests.
Perform quality assurance testing on releases and organize user acceptance testing.
Work closely with end users to document business requirements and transform business requirements to functional designs.
Work as part of a broader Customer Technology Solutions team to support emerging critical priorities.
Work with Seattle Information Technology or consultant(s) to ensure systems are developed in alignment with City standards and policies.
Participate in analytical, technical, and quality assurance aspects of program processes, support project development activities as needed, including, but not limited to, program participation contracts, requests for proposals, statements of work, and other contract documents as required.
Serve on program teams to develop business processes and governance related to data/records, reports, metrics, and workflow development.
Work independently to devise efficient methods of accomplishing and improving system/procedural effectiveness.
Create, update, and maintain process and procedure documentation, including work instructions and process flows.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, computer science or a related field.
Experience: Requires three years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research or analysis (or a combination of education, training or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).

- Knowledge of relational databases. Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to think analytically, troubleshoot and solve basic database issues, and knows when to seek advice from IT and consultant support.
- Experience with CRM software
- Able to conduct workshops with staff, training sessions and assist in the development of instructional materials, including online materials.
- Strong technical and business communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with project development, management, and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting data.
- Proven record for using independent judgment and initiative to prepare and review related documents (i.e., specifications and quality documents.)
- Ability to edit and review contract documents and provide input on complex programmatic concepts.
- Process oriented, collaborative, team oriented and adept at building positive cross functional work culture.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes, and development of root cause analyses.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and/or Apex, or SQL for Data Reporting and Analysis
