Senior Data Engineer - Operational Data

Physicians Mutual is hiringaSr.Data Engineerin our Enterprise Technology Group. The selected candidate will design, develop, test and maintain scripts and jobs that are required to extract, transform, clean and load data into operational data stores.Mentor less experienced designers and serve as a project technical lead for mid-sized data projects.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degreein Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of IT experience, to include at least 6years progressive experience in relational database management systems.
• 6+ years of SQL experience.
• 4+ years' experience using Python.
• Demonstrate experience in data engineering with 8 years' experience usingETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage).
• Strong relational database knowledge, including a broad understanding of current and prospective data architecture and database performance tuning.

Preferred:

• SQL programming in a DB2 environment
• SQL programming in SQL Server environment
• Workday programming experience
• Experience with Docker/Jenkins
• Experience in mentoring, coaching or developing others in a professional environment
