We're looking for a bright and motivated Operations Manager to join our Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation team in Oak Park, Michigan.

A Day in the life of Operations Manager
- Responsible for office financial performance, ensuring the following:
- Budget(s) are prepared on time for review by the Director/SVP.
- Profit and utilization targets of staff are met.
- Assigned employees perform administrative financial responsibilities on a timely basis.
- Ensure that a high-quality management, administrative, and technical service is provided by project managers and taking action as necessary.
- Take appropriate action to help ensure that Environmental projects achieve the budgeted levels of contribution to overhead and profit.
- Lead all Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation staff to ensure the effectiveness of operations and Director of Operations - Midwest approval prior to implementation.
- Develop annual business plan and execute strategies for developing and maintaining the assigned business unit, including maintaining: a presence in the industry, client relationships, a strong knowledge of Pinchin Company services, staffing and workforce management, and the effective onboarding and ongoing training of staff.
- Perform project management and/or client management duties as appropriate.
- Represent the company when appropriate at top-level negotiations, discussions, contract signings, professional, and business meetings.
- Meet with your team regularly to discuss budgets, workloads, field work, procedures, identify issues/concerns.
- Direct supervision of all assigned staff ensuring engagement through effective performance management, training, and career development.
- Lead by example and in accordance with Pinchin's Core Values and desired culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the Pinchin team
- B.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of diversified environmental consulting experience, at least six of which have been in a supervisory or management capacity consisting of planning, designing, and construction of environmental projects.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision.
