About the Position:
The FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and business decisions at Scout Bags. This individual will lead the development of key financial forecasts, conduct comprehensive analysis of profit margins, and evaluate overall business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis within the retail industry, demonstrating proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, and NetSuite to develop actionable insights, perform detailed margin analysis, and build accurate forecasting models. They will partner with leadership to translate financial data into strategic recommendations that support company growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Margin Analysis: Perform detailed margin analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks. This person will work closely with Product Development and Planning teams to optimize product profitability, develop pricing strategies, and ensure margin targets are met across all product categories.
Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive cash flow and sales forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business plans and strategic objectives.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports for sales channel leaders and senior management, highlighting key performance drivers and actionable recommendations.
Tableau Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated Tableau dashboards for financial reporting and operational performance tracking that drive data-informed decision making.
NetSuite Utilization: Leverage NetSuite to streamline financial data collection, analysis, and reporting processes. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial systems.
Budgeting and Planning: Lead the development of annual budgets and financial plans, incorporating margin forecasts, cost analysis, and alignment with strategic goals.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial modeling, variance analysis, and scenario planning to support critical business decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and other departments to ensure financial goals are met while maintaining alignment with the company's long-term strategic vision.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis roles.
- Demonstrated experience in the retail industry, specifically with consumer goods in Wholesale and eCommerce channels.
- Expert knowledge of inventory management principles and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
- Advanced skills in cash flow modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with proven track record of transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Power BI for sophisticated financial modeling and data visualization.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems in a retail environment.
