Description:

As a Project Manager in federal IT consulting, you will lead and manage IT projects for federal agencies, ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that meet client needs. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead project teams, providing direction and support to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget status.
  • Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with federal regulations and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience, preferably in federal IT consulting.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Previous experience working with federal agencies.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Work Environment:
  • This position may require occasional travel.
  • Telework options may be available depending on the project requirements.
