Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology is seeking a qualified candidate to join as an Assistant Professor. This position will provide medical care in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. The appointee will focus on the clinical care of children with pediatric allergic and immunologic disorders including food allergy, asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, and urticaria as well as children with a variety of immunodeficiency and immune regulation disorders. This position also affords the appointee a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in our nationally and internationally recognized Food Allergy Program by continuing to develop and expand on our oral immunotherapy and food challenge programs at the Texas Medical Center. The appointee's outpatient effort will be devoted to growing the clinical food allergy and oral immunotherapy program. The appointee will also perform inpatient consultants at the main Texas Medical Center Texas Children's location and is expected to be proficient in the evaluation and management of pediatric immunodeficiency and immunodysregulatory disorders. The appointee will be a collaborative member of the Section and be positioned to succeed in a dynamic academic
Minimum Education: M.D., D.O., or equivalent. Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer. Board certified/eligible in pediatric allergy and immunology.
