The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business revenue within the assigned region - Upstate New York. This position is a quota carrying position and will need to be achieved via individual and team contributions. They will lead the sales team to sell SMB, Enterprise businesses, and MDU properties on our fiber network. They will guide the sales team in building community relationships, presenting compelling proposals, and establishing GoNetspeed's value.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate our culture, objectives, strategy, products, and revenue targets
Generate new revenue via individual and team sales efforts
Direct the sales team where sales effort should be prioritized to maximize results
Ability to represent company at business, municipal, and other local events
Ability to measure, track and adjust sales metrics as needed
Ensure that all sales meet customer expectations while delivering positive financial
Leverage Salesforce for prospecting, order entry, customer relations, and managing team's sales activity
Routine coaching and employee development of sales team
Develop sales plans to build and support a steady sales funnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Sales experience with Internet, telecommunications, or other high-technology industry preferred.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of sales management
Solid understanding of selling to SMB and Enterprise businesses
Outstanding communication, intellectual, financial and negotiating skills
Motivated team player who can respond effectively in a start-up environment
The outstanding candidate will possess:
Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills
Analytical/problem solving with strong attention to detail
Strategic/creative thinker
Strong team builder and excellent facilitator
Exceptional interpersonal and communications (oral and written skills for internal and external audiences)
Understanding of Fiber Optic network solutions and superior customer benefits
$112,000 - $132,000 a year
$70,000-$90,000 base plus commission
