The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with the Principal to support students, staff, and families, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. We are seeking a strong instructional leader who can effectively support teaching and learning while also maintaining a structured and positive school environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of curriculum and instruction, as well as the ability to implement fair and consistent student discipline practices that promote a safe and respectful learning community

Qualifications:
  • Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate (Standard or Certificate of Eligibility).
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience (elementary level preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong instructional leadership with a deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Ability to implement fair and consistent student discipline practices that promote a positive school environment. Experience/Knowledge of Restorative Practice preferred
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Experience in instructional coaching, facilitating professional learning communities (PLCs), analyzing student achievement data, and implementing school improvement initiatives.
  • Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives to enhance student achievement and well-being.
  • Foster a positive school culture by maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations.
  • Assist with staff supervision, professional development, and teacher evaluations to promote innovative teaching strategies and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement effective instructional strategies and interventions through NJTSS
  • Support student discipline in alignment with the district's policies and restorative practices.
  • Engage families and community members to strengthen school-home partnerships.
  • Oversee safety protocols, including emergency procedures and school-wide drills.
  • Assist in coordinating student services, including special education, ESL programs, and intervention support. Participate in data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Principal, Superintendent, or designee.

Salary: $116,110 (minimum) to $160,530 (maximum) commensurate with experience
