POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources (HR) Officer, responsible for providing leadership in talent management, employee engagement, benefits administration, and compliance. Plays a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive work culture while driving initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Collaborate with the Chief HR Officer to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and enhance workplace culture.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure a high-performing workforce.
  • Contribute to the team's joint efforts in employee engagement initiatives, including performance management, recognition programs, retention strategies, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support operational efficiency and legal compliance.
  • Chair corporate Wellness Committee including overseeing staff events, resources, communications, budget expenditures, and maintaining the corporate Wellness Center.
  • Partner with leadership to drive workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
  • Utilize HR analytics and metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration and manage legacy retirement benefits.
  • Oversee orientation and onboarding of new employees.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience

  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HR technology and systems (preferably ADP)
