Leading CPA Firm seeks an experienced Client Services Manager to add to our growing Metairie team. We are looking for someone who is technically sound in accounting and software with strong interpersonal abilities and natural leadership skills.
Position Overview
As our Client Services Manager, you are a leader in our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) division. This is a small but high growth division for our firm responsible for client engagements primarily in the area of payroll which includes software and sales tax. You will play an integral role in our growth by onboarding clients and maintaining excellent relationships. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing staff's work on client engagements and have direct involvement with the clients on more complex accounting and bookkeeping matters. You will be relied upon as a resource for our firm and clients in the areas of software, payroll, and sales tax.

You will be relied upon as a resource for our firm and clients in the areas of software, payroll, and sales tax.
- Lead CAAS department engagements providing onboarding evaluation of client needs, structing ongoing engagement to ensure efficient completion, and overseeing staff completing those engagements
- Assist new clients with cleanup of QB files and recommendations for future processing
- Assist clients with outsourced accounting services
- Complete interim and annual compilation engagements
- Review staff's work on various engagements
- Supervise and mentor a team of employees responsible for providing comprehensive assistance to clients in areas including payroll, sales tax, property tax, 1099s, and various business-related filings
- Assist clients with payroll, sales tax, property tax, 1099s, and other business-related filings
- Effectively communicates with Federal, State and Local tax agencies on behalf of clients
- Respond to various governmental and non-governmental notices and/or audits
- Participate in conducting training sessions
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
Position Compensation

- $90-110K+, depending on experience

Requirements: 
Position Requirements
This position is best suited for someone who is technically sound in accounting and software with strong interpersonal abilities and natural leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active Certified Public Accountant License REQUIRED
- Must have at least 5 years' experience as an accountant, 2+ at the supervisory level
- Experience in client relationship management in a financial setting
- Able to use advanced features of QuickBooks Desktop and Online products a MUST
- Ability to read, interpret and apply complex publications, such as sales tax laws and regulations for different states
- Ability to problem solve payroll tax notices for federal and other states
- Ability to review client records to identify issues needing attention and design workflows to increase efficiency
- Ability to manage jobs to completion within budgeted hours
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to resolving issues and providing solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Ability to interact, develop and maintain professional relationships with partners, employees, clients, and tax authorities
