- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and sales targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to enhance performance and productivity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the construction sector, including major retailers and distributors.
- Utilize CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, to track sales metrics and customer interactions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and areas for growth within the construction industry.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to align sales initiatives with overall company objectives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to executive management on sales performance and market trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as VP of Sales, Director of Sales, or Sales Director in the construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
- Strong background in sales management and team leadership.
- Hands on, day to day management with their sales reps, conducting and attending meetings
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time for customer/vendor meetings
- Experience with major retailers such as WalMart, Target, Lowes, FedEx, and Home Depot.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction markets, including paving, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
