Our real-time simulation and professional driving simulator solutions include static deskside solutions, through to full-scale driver-in-the-loop dynamic simulators. We deliver turnkey solutions to enable transportation industry OEMs, suppliers, research centers, motorsport teams and universities to accelerate product development. This includes supplying proprietary software, hardware, services, and an open framework for customization.
Virtual Test employs 250+ highly skilled colleagues worldwide and has offices in Germany, Italy, France, UK, China, Japan, and the USA, as well as a broad network of worldwide channel partners.

Position Overview:
- Responsible for executing or independently achieving project objectives by performing a variety of engineering and process tasks which require in-depth and diversified technical knowledge.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and Linux operating system internals. Basic understanding of electrical engineering design is advantageous.
- Engage in design/development or process design activities that may lack precedent, requiring innovative solutions to broadly defined problems.
- Must be a US citizen due to the nature of clients supported. Unable to hire those who are dual citizens, Green card holders, or Visa holders
- Position is onsite in Pompano Beach, FL
Responsibilities:
- Primary focus is on Custom Engineering projects related to Linux Kernel and I/O Device software and hardware. Aerospace and automotive related device I/O component hardware and software implementation, small system design.
- Secondary focus is to provide technical support for software and hardware to both internal and external customers.
- Assess and determine areas of current engineering emphasis in order to focus attention on maximum utilization of engineering capabilities.
- Translate future product needs into engineering feasibility and be aware of product and project issues across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Consider all systems level aspects of products in accomplishing the most complex conceptual and innovative design projects.
- Develop understanding of department's identity and efforts, and the corporate role.
- Employ all required section equipment, tools and methods.
- Contribute to improving the technical knowledge base and effectiveness of other engineers.
- Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensure positive working relationship.
- Impart technical expertise within department, and to customers, users' groups.
- Perform such other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Engineering or related degree
- Up to two years' experience in C/C++ programming
- Up to two years with Linux operating system experience
