Senior Manager, Supply Chain

Job Summary:

Effectivelymanages a full team of supply-chain resources to successfully drive thenecessary behaviors and results which achieve MACOM's overall supply chainobjectives. Has the ability to managethis activity with little guidance and/or direction from others.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managebacklog to ensure that customers' delivery commitments/requirements are met.
  • Responsiblefor developing and maintaining good working relationships with MACOM relevantcontract manufacturers as well as internal manufacturing (& Fab) teams.
  • Manageand mentor staff of supply chain planners, supervisors and/or supply chainmanagers.
  • Monitorsupplier capacity to ensure sufficient capacity is available to support MasterProduction Plan.
  • Monitorsthe status of open purchase orders including delivery and quality issues thatmay affect the Master Production Plan.
  • Leadand facilitate internal teams and supplier meetings.
  • Maintainand input material data into planning system.
  • Worksdiligently with Quality, Engineering and Strategic Sourcing departments todevelop mechanisms that will improve quality, provide realistic schedules,standardize processes and reduce costs.
  • Workswith Strategic Sourcing Team to develop new sources of supply where necessaryto improve performance, reduce cost and reduce supply base.
  • Hasthe ability to successfully process map new supply chain supplier/customersolutions ensuring full ERP/Inventory transactions are executed successfully.

  • Hasa Proven ability to lead and manage team of planners (at manager level).
  • Hasdemonstrated successful results managing a supply chain team internally and/orexternally to MACOM.
  • Strongbusiness acumen along with excellent written and verbal communication skillsrequired.
  • Mustbe able to manage, motivate and energize.
  • Directreports, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Willingnessto travel if/when required.
  • Mustbe a leader of change and be able to gain consensus on how to drive processchange to improve business results.
  • Mustpossess the ability to develop schedules to meet specific objectives, establishpriorities.
  • Willingnessto make decisions without hesitation and getting things done in a timelyfashion with sense of urgency.
  • Hasa strong ability to proactively identify, communicate and apply problem solvingtechniques.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor'sdegree &/or relevant work experience with demonstrated abilities/knowledgefor this specific role.
  • Minimum3 years of experience of managing and/or supervising people ideally specific tosupply chain activities.
  • Minimum8-10 years of experience in planning &/or supply chain management.
  • StrongERP system management experience with the ability of defining best practices tosetup and maintain key supply chain traceability (preferably SAP, Oracleand/or other well known ERP platforms).
  • StrongComputer literacy, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint & word).
