Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Profession: IR Tech
Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: 3 years preferred
License: State License required
Certifications: ARRT, ASRT, BLS
Must-Have: 2 years previous experience in Interventional procedures required
Description:
Works together with the physician to perform a variety of specialized procedures in a busy Neuro/CV/Body IR lab.
Practices sterile technique.
Sets up sterile trays.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
Utilizes multiple types of equipment, including Siemens, Cannon, Philips, and digital charting in EPIC.
Requires skills in IR CV and Neuro, as well as vascular and body cases.
Able to work 40 hours plus call.
No floating to other units or departments.
The department has 2 IR rooms, 1 Neuro room, and 1 CV hybrid room.
Hospital-provided scrubs must be worn.
Training involves 9-12 months post-radiology tech school.
Technologists scrub all cases for IR body and IR neuro and assist the physician throughout the procedure.
Looking for a highly trained IR tech with at least 3 years of IR experience.
Call responsibilities during weekdays and weekends.
