The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to provide analysis, advice, and leadership on a range of policy issues within the Partnerships, Privacy and Legislative Services Branch. The Governance, Regulatory, and Legislative Services Unit is seeking a Manager to provide leadership and oversight on projects related to the regulated health professions. Reporting to the Unit's director, the Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision of staff (Senior Policy Analysts), including planning, reviewing/editing and approving documents, approving timecards, and other general human resources functions, etc.

This position will play a significant role in leading and facilitating the development and implementation of legislation and regulations to support key Ministry priorities. This position will provide leadership for work currently underway to ensure legislative alignment across the health system's regulated professional bodies. In addition, this position is responsible for consulting with and providing advice to senior Ministry officials on a range of issues and will represent the Ministry in discussions with stakeholders. This position will manage the development, review, and assessment of policy options and alternatives on current and emerging issues related to professional self-regulation.

Typically, knowledge for this position would be obtained through a graduate degree in a social science, health administration, public policy or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have knowledge of professional self-governance and legislation, and will have demonstrated in previous roles exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. Prior supervisory experience is a requirement.
