Senior Treasury Analyst

Reporting to: Treasury Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

About the Finance Team

What you'll be doing as the Senior Treasury Analyst:
  • Responsible for daily cash balance management and reporting
  • Own the preparation of US cash account bank recons
  • Manage the month-end close process for Treasury, including all ledger entries related to cash but not posted by other teams
  • Responsible for all accounting related to the insurance carriers investment portfolio, researching investment accounting issues and producing the Treasury/investment piece of the NAIC Statutory Quarterly and Annual filings
  • Own the investment recon process for US insurance carriers
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with investment fund managers
  • Participate in monthly meetings with investment accounting vendor
  • Build out robust completeness check for data received from external stakeholders (mainly investment custodian/accounting vendor)
  • Manage state security deposit process
  • Initiate changes in bank authorizations and be liaison for banking relations
  • Approve and release payments processed by various accounting operations teams
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to improve accuracy and timeliness of month end close tasks
  • Manage the cash report, and drive strategic decisions as it relates to cash collected/distributed
  • Support the cash forecast process, and drive strategic decisions as it relates to cash needs/availability
  • Coordinate with Group Treasury to manage cash balance queries related to the US accounts
  • Drive change for the Finance department by leveraging existing technology, researching new technology, and building efficiency through process improvement
  • Create Treasury dashboard, enhance Treasury documentation, and own maintenance of documentation/dashboard


Desired Skills:
  • Investment experience
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Must be detail and results-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, self-directed
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers


Technical skills:
  • Oracle (or equivalent)
  • Excel
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Banking platform experience
  • Treasury Management System experience (preferred)


Education:

BS Degree in Accounting preferred, relevant professional certification preferred (CTP, CPA, CMA, etc)

Experience:

3-5 years' experience in Treasury, Investments, Accounting, or Finance

Salary Range: $75-$95k

**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly**
