Position Summary

Reporting to the AVP of Learning & Development, the Manager of Learning Operations leads our learning technology ecosystem and drives digital learning excellence across our 8,000-employee healthcare system. This role is responsible for the oversight and day-to day operations of the learning management system (HealthStream) and digital learning infrastructure supporting clinical and non-clinical education, while leading a community of practice (CoP) for learning professionals and LMS administrators across the organization. The Manager of Learning Operations will partner with various stakeholders and apply advanced knowledge of adult learning principles combined with technical expertise in learning platforms to deliver innovative, impactful educational experiences that enhance patient care and employee development.

Position Experience Required
  • 3+ years of experience managing enterprise-wide learning management systems - (Experience with HealthStream preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience designing digital and e-learning
  • Strong background in adult learning theory and instructional design
  • Proven experience with compliance training and regulatory requirements in healthcare organization or other highly regulated industry.

Licenses & Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred
  • Certification in Instructional design and Educational Technology preferred

Position Responsibilities

Learning Technology & Digital Learning Experience
  • Lead strategic oversight of Learning Management System (LMS) including the adoption of the system, system architecture, workflows, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for technology access, content standards, and quality assurance
  • Drive digital transformation through emerging technologies (AI, VR/AR, adaptive learning) to enhance learning effectiveness
  • Establish best practices and templates for digital learning design, ensuring accessibility and mobile-friendly delivery
  • Create tools and resources that support effective adult learning principles and blended learning approaches
  • Partner with IT to ensure system stability, integration, and optimal user experience
  • Development of high-quality e-learning content using industry-standard authoring tools development of high-quality e-learning content using industry-standard authoring tools. System Administration & Analytics Management
  • Configure and optimize LMS settings, including user management, security protocols, and course deployment
  • Design and maintain comprehensive analytics framework, including dynamic dashboards and KPI reporting
  • Upload, publish, create, manage, test and assign content within the LMS
  • Oversee system integrations with HR platforms while ensuring data accuracy and compliance
  • Manage technical operations including user provisioning, troubleshooting, and tier 3 support
  • Partner with Inspira's information systems teams to validate and implement system upgrades and SCORM/xAPI standards
  • Analyze learning data to identify trends, measure ROI, and drive improvements
  • Generate and customize reports for stakeholder requirements and leadership decision-making

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Serve as a technical advisor to clinical and non-clinical departments on learning technology capabilities, design, and implementation strategies
  • Co-lead Learning Leadership Council to drive learning technology strategy
  • Establish and lead a Community of Practice (CoP) for LMS coordinators, instructional designers, and administrators
  • Create standardized processes for learning technology implementation across departments
  • Manage vendor relationships and cross-functional project teams
  • Partner with IT, HR, and other departments on system integrations and capabilities
