We are excited for the opportunity to bring aboard highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our teams. Currently, we are seeking a Engineer, Software III - Senior Test Engineer. This role supports a Navy customer in Charleston, SC.
Job Description and Responsibilities: Highly specialized in one or more phases of systems engineering and testing. Evaluates the applicability of a broad range of information systems issues, including hardware/software integration, compatibility and multiple platforms. Evaluates the effectiveness and applicability of a broad range of information systems. Works with Test Engineer to develop test cases and formal test plans to implement large information system. Provides testing input for program engineering and acquisition documents and products. Test software system and reports defects clearly and concisely. Tracks all system bugs/discrepancies, and ensures software engineers resolve and incorporate necessary fixes. Performs complex and repetitive testing to ensure computer system conforms to specifications.
Basic Requirements: Ten (10) years with Master's or fourteen (14) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area. Individual shall have experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
Education Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems); and shall possess Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
Unless otherwise specified, higher education (i.e., graduate degree) above a labor category's minimum requirement can be credited as years of experience as long as the higher degree is within the same required field of study as the minimum degree required. The following educational credit applies: a MS degree equals four (4) years of experience and a PhD degree equals five (5) years of experience; no substitution is allowed for Bachelor's degrees unless specified within the applicable labor category.
Security Clearance: Secret or above (must be a US Citizen)
Tele-work and Travel: On-site or COR approved tele-work schedule.
