The Strategic Programs and Enterprise Consulting Office provides enterprise-wide consulting services on governance, complex strategic programs, regulatory-driven initiatives, portfolio management, program development/management. The Director of Strategic Programs and Enterprise Consulting (SPEC) ensures alignment of program strategies and resources with EyeCare Partners' vision and divisional strategies in order to achieve organizational success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the execution of high-priority strategic programs that align with business objectives and corporate goals.
  • Establish program roadmaps, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring programs are executed within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and key stakeholders to define program vision, objectives, and key success metrics.
  • Oversee the overall governance of strategic programs within the SPEC office, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for program management, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Conduct regular program reviews to assess progress, resolve issues, and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program goals and deliverables.
  • Build strong relationships with department heads, senior leadership, and other relevant parties to ensure effective collaboration and program success.
  • Lead executive briefings and status meetings, providing timely and accurate reporting on program performance.
  • Identify potential program risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation plans to minimize impacts to program success.
  • Chairs project meetings and proactively address obstacles and roadblocks, removing barriers to progress and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Lead resource planning and allocation for strategic programs, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel, tools, and budget.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to identify and allocate the right talent for program execution.
  • Ensure that change management processes are in place to support successful adoption of program outcomes across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the SPEC office by evaluating and implementing enhancements to processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and expenditure of resources.
  • Track and report on financial performance, ensuring that strategic programs stay within budget and deliver expected financial benefits.
  • Lead and manage program stakeholders through duration of initiative providing guidance, coaching, and professional consulting.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on achieving organizational objectives.
  • Hosts and directs third-party consulting groups as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project management or program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex, and cross-functional strategic programs or portfolios.
  • Expertise in leveraging a variety of project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and financial oversight in a program management context.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to set a vision and identify the action steps to achieve that vision; ability to motivate the team and stakeholders to take action without direct authority.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport, trust, and credibility with others.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable programs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
