MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior Advisor - Financial Analysis and Business Intelligence will be responsible for supporting the development of the mine's economic model and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the business intelligence (BI) tools, processes, and data in support of the budgeting cycle and month-end close processes.

Salary range of CAD 114,500 to 130,000 per annum based on a 40-hour work week. Eligibility for annual salary increase and performance-based bonus.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior Advisor - Financial Analysis and Business Intelligence will be responsible for supporting the development of the mine's economic model and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the business intelligence (BI) tools, processes, and data in support of the budgeting cycle and month-end close processes.
- Oversee the mine's economic model, ensuring its integrity, completeness of inputs, and proper scenario development;
- Facilitate coordination between Northback and third-party consultants contributing to the model's inputs;
- Track the development of the mine's economic model, promptly identifying and reporting any concerns to management;
- Act as Northback's technical expert on the use and maintenance of the mine's economic model;
- Manage the business intelligence process, ensuring proper file maintenance and integration between BI outputs and source systems (e.g., SAP, Concur);
- Support the month-end close process through variance analysis, automation, and posting journal entries;
- Enhance business processes by utilizing Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot, and develop standard operating procedures across the organization;
- Oversee the annual budget cycle, developing templates, consolidating departmental submissions, and analyzing them for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness; and
- Improve the budgeting process through Power BI, fostering data-driven insights, more efficient analysis, and effective financial planning.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree specializing in accounting, finance or economics or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of Chartered Financial Analyst Program, Level 1;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial and economic analysis;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing company-wide annual budgeting cycle;
- Expert level proficiency using Power Query and Power BI for data transformation, visualization, and automation, enabling efficient financial analysis and reporting;
- Strong understanding of the mining industry and its various phases, including exploration, mining, processing, and reclamation;
- Extensive knowledge of financial processes in a mining operation, including procurement of goods, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting;
- Expert level proficiency using SAP FICO module and Concur employee expense application.
