Your responsibilities :

• Oversee the management of the chemistry laboratory staff and act as a resource person;
• Maintain the quality of the results and apply the management system according to industry standards;
• Communicate the procedures, policies and regulations to the department;
• Manage the inventory of materials and supplies, place necessary orders;
• Develop, validate and monitor the performance of chemical analytical methods;
• Coordinate staff training with Laboratory Coordinator and Technical Supervisor;
• Optimize work methods in collaboration with the teams concerned;
• Enforce health and safety regulations through regular inspections;
• Support the coordinator in all aspects of personnel management;
• Maintain a positive work climate and a good performance within the department;
• Participate in the recruitment process and employee performance reviews;
• Keep immediate supervisor regularly informed of laboratory performance and activities;

Exigences :

• BAC en science ou en management / administration ;
• 5 ans en gestion employe tout domaine confondus ;
• Langues parles et crites : franais et anglais (Des communications et documentations sont en anglais) ;
• Matrise de la Suite Office ;
• Connaissance du logiciel LIMS (atout) ;
• Membre de l'Ordre des chimistes du Qubec (atout) ;
