Primary Purpose:

The CARE Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the caregivers and clients within our organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the success of our caregivers by providing training, scheduling, and ongoing support. Additionally, the CARE Manager collaborates with clients to create personalized care plans and facilitates communication between caregivers and clients to ensure a positive caregiving experience.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Supervise and oversee a team of approximately 50 caregivers, ensuring they arrive on time and are adequately trained.
  • Manage caregiver schedules, ensuring all shifts are filled and promptly addressing any scheduling changes or cancellations.
  • Conduct care assessments with clients to develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback and training to caregivers to enhance their performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for caregivers and clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Monitor and track weekly metrics, including scheduled hours, completed hours, caregiver cancellations, and unfilled shifts.
  • Make independent decisions and manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the management personnel to optimize caregiver-client relationships.


Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role that includes office work for administrative tasks and field visits for CARE assessments, training, and ongoing support.

Requirements:

  • While not required, being an RN, Case Manager, LVN/LPN or CNA is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on timeliness and respect.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, especially in emergency situations.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and calmly resolve issues such as last-minute cancellations.
  • Previous management experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to advance within the organization, with opportunities to move into a care lead role.
