As a Financial Planning Analyst you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will assist in all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analytics. Your expertise in financial modeling and analysis will drive informed business decisions and contribute to our overall success. You will have the ability to build strong partnerships with leaders to influence both strategic decision making and tactical execution. This role offers tremendous growth potential, with the opportunity to develop the skills and experience necessary to advance into a leadership position within the finance department. This is a Hybrid based office position that can be located in Baton Rouge, LA or Houston TX area.
How you'll make an impact:
Financial Reporting: Assist the Controller in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Establish and drive forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial planning in a timely and accurate manner. Partner with sales and operations strategy teams to drive strategic decisions around opportunities.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance. Work with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis to support the strategic decision-making process.
Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the finance function, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Implement approved process changes, monitor execution, and provide reporting.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes across the organization.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Information Systems: Be involved in the strategic financial roadmap of ERP system including integration points with auxiliary systems. Act as an interface for projects with the finance functional area including working with cross functional teams to ensure that all department needs are met.

Skills you'll need:
- Bachelor Degree, Accounting or Finance
- At least 7+ years of relevant financial experience
- ERP knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in financial software and tools (ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling software)
- Adaptable to changing priorities while effectively managing multiple commitments
