Guided by our readers and informed by data, you will build products to amplify our impact and reach in this role. Our tech stack includes: Typescript, Python, React/React Native, GraphQL, Django, Google Analytics, third party integrations with payment providers and CDPs, and data consolidation pipelines.
Other tools we use: Docker, Github & Github Actions, Terraform, Datadog, a variety of Amazon and Google cloud services including EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and BigQuery.

As an Atlantic Engineer, you will:
- Hit the ground running to write, test, debug, document, and deploy code across our full stack.
- Partner with the Product and Design teams to collaboratively tackle difficult, often ambiguous problems.
- Participate and contribute to stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives at the agile team level and up.
- Research, document, and recommend potential solutions for future product features.
- Work collaboratively across the engineering department to ensure best practices are followed.
As an Atlantic Engineer, you are:
- A talented programmer: You are proficient in modern full stack web development. You can design a RESTful or GraphQL microservice, wire it up to a data model, run the app locally in a Docker container, and write a frontend service to consume the data.
- Knowledgeable: You work effectively within established architectures and follow industry best practices.
- Flexible: Although you typically work with a suite of proven tools, you are curious and open to new solutions and industry trends.
