Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Profession: LPN
Specialty: Heart and Vascular
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days
Hours per Shift: 40
Experience: Clinic experience required. Cardiology experience preferred but not required.
License: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have: Stress test clinic experience
Description:
Patient types include general cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular surgery.
Will see 22 patients per day.
The role requires the ability to work independently and be highly organized.
Excellent communication skills and collaboration with the team are essential.
Support on the unit includes an EKG tech, clinical assistants, an LPN, a lead RN, and a nursing manager.
Charting is done using the Epic system.
Floating is within the cardiology clinic, and the role may provide outreach coverage for providers as needed.
Orientation consists of facility protocol and 3-4 days on the unit side-by-side with a nurse.
Scheduling does not include weekends or on-call duties.
Holiday expectations include being available for 2 out of 4 holidays, with the day after Thanksgiving considered a holiday.
Navy blue scrubs are the required attire.
