About the Position:
The Vice President of Information Technology (VP, IT) at Edgewise Therapeutics will play a pivotal role in guiding the company through ongoing growth and a transition from R&D to commercial readiness. Reporting to the General Counsel, the VP, IT will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive IT strategies that enable business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Leveraging extensive industry experience, the VP, IT will oversee all aspects of IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Essential Job Duties and Functions:
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute IT strategies and systems to support the company's transition from R&D to global commercial operations, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and compliance.
- Digital Transformation: Drive digital innovation by integrating emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and cloud solutions, to enhance decision-making and competitive advantage.
- IT Governance and Policy Development: Establish IT governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining robust oversight of IT processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders across departments to align IT initiatives with business objectives, supporting growth, commercial readiness, and operational efficiency.
- Data Management and Analytics: Manage data storage, processing and analysis to support business decision-making, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure IT systems and processes comply with GxP, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, and other relevant global regulations.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Establish and maintain robust IT security measures to protect company data and ensure business continuity in a regulated environment.
- Enterprise Data Management: Provide strategic direction on enterprise data governance, retention, and utilization to enhance business outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with business needs and value delivery.
- IT Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while meeting business requirements. Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Vendor and Budget Management: Oversee IT budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring optimal resource allocation, cost-effectiveness, and strategic value from technology investments.
- System Optimization: Ensure GxP computerized systems and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, LIMS, etc.) are compliant, optimized, and integrated to support global operations.
- Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies; safe work practices; and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of leading IT organizations through transitions from R&D to commercial readiness in global, regulated environments.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including GxP, FDA, GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital transformation, enterprise system implementation, and emerging technologies.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a history of mentoring and developing diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating IT strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and driving results through collaboration and influence.
- Proven ability to manage strong desktop support services, ensuring reliability and responsiveness to meet business needs.
- Strong experience in IT governance and policy development, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee data management and analytics to support informed decision-making.
