Mission Statement:
The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Major Duties:
The Infrastructure Advisory and Program Office (IAPO) has two teams, the IT Construction Team and the Enterprise IT Projects Team. IAPO provides strategic advice, project planning, oversight, and management for the deployment of Enterprise technology in new construction, renovation, and multi-effort Enterprise IT projects. The IAPO ensures all projects are planned, designed, integrated, and delivered with the latest and most advanced technology. The IAPO coordinates and collaborates with multiple stakeholders (internal and external to the division), as well as our Enterprise customers and end user groups.
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of IT infrastructure projects (end user requirements, network and cabling, hardware installations, main data facility planning, etc.).
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage third-party contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, safety standards, and project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure work is being completed to the highest standards and within financial limits.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other project-related financial documents.
  • I dentify potential risks related to IT infrastructure construction projects and take proactive measures to mitigate them, addressing issues and adjusting project plans as necessary.
  • Provide regular status updates to senior leadership, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit final project reports, including post-project analysis.

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Experience assessing customers' needs and resolving issues by providing advice, guidance, and/or instruction to various levels of personnel within an organization regarding administrative and technical matters related to IT programs or services.
  • Experience managing internal IT teams and external contractors or subcontractors involved in the construction and implementation of IT systems.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with project stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Experience developing technical and administrative standards and procedures regarding IT projects.
  • Experience planning and coordinating projects involving multiple stages in the system development life cycle, including: requirements analysis, design, development, test, implementation, monitoring, and continuous maintenance.
