The Group Finance Director is responsible for the overall success of the F&I Departments within the dealership. This individual will take direction and consult regularly with the CEO and serve as an integral part of the corporate Executive team.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Training, Development, and Compliance
- Providing management, leadership, and guidance to the Finance Development Managers, who serve as direct support for the Dealership operations.
- Coordinating and conducting monthly training sessions with FDM's and F&I Managers.
- Ensuring compliance within the F&I department through training, best practices, standard procedures, and conducting monthly audits of dealership processes.
- Coordinating and overseeing annual compliance audits at all dealerships.
Preferred Lender Program/Vendor Management
- Maintaining relationships with lenders to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships, agreements and create opportunities for maximization of profit.
- Quarterly and annual review with captive and preferred lenders to identify areas of opportunity and manage performance.
- Manage the reinsurance program by analyzing monthly reports and provide recommendations to CEO and CFO.
- Manage product providers and vendors to ensure the appropriate product mix, ensuring the level of support required for our F&I teams, and following up on gaps in service and training.
Developing High-Performance Culture
- Weekly huddle with FDM's and Market Presidents to identify areas of opportunity and priorities within the F&I departments and assign resources accordingly.
- Provide weekly performance reports for all dealerships and F&I Manager's to management.
- Dealership visits with GM's and management teams to provide support and resources.
- Attending weekly operations team meetings to discuss weekend and MTD performance, successes and opportunities, and keeping the rest of the leadership team informed of progress.
- Annual review of F&I pay plans with Market Presidents and GM's to ensure the organization is focused on driving the right behaviors for success of the department.
- Partnering with Operations and Human Resources to identify internal talent for promotion into the F&I departments, as well as assist in the interviewing and selection of external candidates.
- Work as an integral part of the leadership team to advise on in-store procedures, discuss issues and opportunities in each store, as well as provide leadership during acquisitions.
- Supporting and completing acquisition efforts with lenders and all system set-ups to ensure a smooth transition, provide on-going support, and in-person training on Morrie's F&I Manager playbook.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 8-10 years of progressive Automotive Leadership experience with 5+ specifically in F&I
- Experience with both CDK and Reynolds and Reynolds is preferred
- A solid understanding of F&I compliance
- Experience in training and/or consulting preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft programs
