The City of Prior Lake is seeking an advanced civil engineering technician to perform technical surveying work, drafting plans, examinations, or engineering inspections and investigations. Work involves the application of engineering knowledge gained through training and experience.
Position requires the use of GIS, Engineering Design (CADD) Hardware and Software and other computer software. Works independently and at times may assign work to other engineering technical personnel. Minimum requirements include: Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technician with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in related fields OR Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination administered by NCEES, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months. Level II MnDOT Certification in Bituminous Street, Concrete Field, Grading & Base, and Signal & Light. University of Minnesota Construction Site Management Certificate. Valid MN Driver's License.
