What You'll Do

We're looking for a Technology Strategist to support our Enterprise Data and Analytics organization! This role will directly support the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) and broader leadership team by facilitating development of key initiatives that feed the business strategy and its tactical execution. You'll embrace the technology and data community initiatives, be a part of developing our AI and data strategies and manage the general business cadence of the data and analytics organization.

In addition, you'll:
  • Own and drive the business cadence of EDA across all forums, including facilitating the review of OKRs, and coordinating important department cadences such as all staff meetings and others.
  • Ensure EDA Senior Leader readiness for smooth execution of internal forums, executive and board meetings, public speaking, and customer engagements. This includes understanding our enterprise, data, and technology strategy in depth, and at varying altitudes. You can identify key messages for multiple audiences (Board, EMG, CIO's, external, tech community)
  • Proactively review and ensure adherence to defined EDA business processes, find opportunities to continuously improve these processes and identify process gaps over time.
  • Proactively manage and assess CDAO requests, including those from media, sales, business partners, financial partners, and more in partnership with IT communications, GBX, and other partners.
  • Serve as a member of the EDA senior leadership team and are responsible for ensuring tight partnerships with our shared service partners (finance, training, HR, etc.) as well as providing cohesion across the extended senior leadership team. Manage headcount governance with HR, Finance, EDA and PGS leadership team.
  • You are the conduit for information in many directions, especially at the executive and leadership level. You'll provide coaching and be coached, give and receive feedback. This role works behind the scenes to solve problems and deal with issues on behalf of the leadership team.
  • Identify and take on ad-hoc strategic projects - everything from defining new opportunities to executing key initiatives and closing any gaps between the data hub organization and the data spokes across the organization.
  • Serves as an owner for EDA activities tied with several of the enterprise functions including but not limited to Cyber, Audit, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Sourcing etc.
  • Identify and coordinate training and development opportunities for EDA leaders and employees.
  • Partner with EDA senior leadership and corporate finance to lead efforts to improve accuracy of forecast, rationalize variance and create opportunities to flex annual budget.
  • Support EDA senior leadership team on facilitating conversations with various forums, initiatives and operating models.
  • Be a liaison with the international technology and D&A leaders to build alignment with Enterprise D&A/AI strategy.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience required, preferably within financial services
  • Must be comfortable in diving into any area of data, understand business needs, and facilitate decisions based on changing priorities
  • Self-motivated individual, comfortable in operating in a high volume and fast paced environment who can build strong working relationships with all levels of leaders and team members across the organization
  • Experience developing and executing complex communications plans in a large organization
  • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success and ensure alignment to the enterprise strategy
  • Utilize data and metrics to communicate needs with the ease of a business unit owner
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form; ability to work well across teams, able to lead and influence across functions and with senior management
  • Hands-on experience in emerging leadership capabilities development and process optimization
  • Maintain high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, is efficient despite limited resources
  • Assist in vetting ideas with senior leadership team and ability to anticipate the needs of CDAO leader
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$123000 - $167000 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.
