thyssenkrupp nucera is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join our Houston, Texas office. This role is responsible for the financial and commercial management of projects, working closely with a technical project manager throughout both the sales and execution phases. The successful candidate will manage contract negotiations, cost control, invoicing, and financial reporting to ensure project success
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects alongside the technical project manager, ensuring financial and commercial success in both the sales and execution phases.
- Oversee the internal project approval process and participate in contract negotiations with customers and partners.
- Lead commercial project management activities, including contract management, invoicing, and cost monitoring.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve project-specific financial and contractual issues.
- Monitor and control contract change management, negotiating modifications with customers, consortium partners, and suppliers.
- Support project management in cost tracking, financial reporting, and risk analysis, ensuring proper project oversight.
- Conduct risk assessments and financial evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, corporate policies, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with financial and contractual requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business (Economics), Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial project management, plant engineering, or international project business.
- Strong background in contract management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP (or similar ERP software).
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively for client meetings, industry events, and site visits (up to 25% travel).
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and travel.
