Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Survey Manager will be responsible for leading survey teams, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting construction activities across multiple locations in Texas. This role requires expertise in survey methodologies, construction layout, GPS technology, and project coordination to maintain efficiency and accuracy in all survey-related operations.

Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Survey Manager will be responsible for leading survey teams, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting construction activities across multiple locations in Texas. This role requires expertise in survey methodologies, construction layout, GPS technology, and project coordination to maintain efficiency and accuracy in all survey-related operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all surveying activities for heavy civil construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Lead, train, and manage survey crews across multiple job sites.
- Develop and implement survey procedures to support construction operations, including earthwork, utilities, structures, and roadways.
- Utilize and maintain survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure proper survey support.
- Perform topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys as required.
- Review and analyze survey data to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Manage and maintain survey records, reports, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Support the pre-construction process with site evaluations and project planning.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in GPS technology (Trimble), total stations (Trimble), and CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to various job sites throughout Texas as needed.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required.
