Our Infrastructure team has a need for a Project Engineer (PE) to join their team. In this role you will work under the direct supervision of Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers and will have the opportunity to develop skills in plan production, report preparation, design, plans and specifications, construction observation, construction administration, leadership, and personal/career development.

Our Infrastructure team has a need for a Project Engineer (PE) to join their team. In this role you will work under the direct supervision of Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers and will have the opportunity to develop skills in plan production, report preparation, design, plans and specifications, construction observation, construction administration, leadership, and personal/career development.
What you will do:
- Performs civil engineering design calculations; develops construction plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software; and prepares construction specifications, feasibility studies, and other technical reports for infrastructure projects.
- Applicants with a wide variety of civil project engineer backgrounds may apply with a background and interest in any of the following project types:
- Large transmission and small distribution waterlines
- Sanitary sewers
- Stormwater system modeling, storm sewer design, and ditch and channel design
- Roadway rehabilitation design
- Water and wastewater facilities: pump stations, sewage treatment, and water treatment

- Applicants for this position may choose to focus on a specific discipline.
- Skilled use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software is strongly preferred but not required for initial hiring. Ongoing training in AutoCAD Civil 3D will be provided on-the-job.
- Works within a team to produce engineering calculations, documentation, and plan sheet production to achieve our client's goals and objectives while meeting schedules and budget requirements.
- Produce quantity take-offs (QTO), cost estimates, and construction management support for projects in the construction phase.
- Manage budget and hours to develop designs and plans that achieve our client's goals and objectives while meeting schedule commitments and budget requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:
- An undergraduate degree in Civil from an accredited university.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or the ability to attain within 12 months.
- Four (4) + years of related experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience or proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects.
- Ability to learn local and state design standards and procedures.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Complex data interpretation skills.
- Adapt to new concepts while working under pressure.
- Skilled use with AutoCAD Civil 3D required with training provided.
- Previous use of GIS software preferred.
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability.
