Job Description
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Schedule will be determined by supervisor to meet the needs of maintaining the efficiency of governmental operations.
Do you enjoy helping others and want to make a significant impact in what you do? If yes, look no further! Community Based Corrections District 5 is seeking a highly motivated, skilled Community Corrections Supervisor.
What You'll Do
As a Community Corrections Supervisor, you will:
  • Supervise staff in the Intake Unit including assigning, directing, auditing, and evaluating work completed by subordinate staff.
  • Complete Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) audits and provide training on key issues/concerns that result from CQI audits.
  • Provide direct services for the intake process to clients as needed.
  • Provide case consultation, assistance, and direction to officers handling difficult cases and assist court staff when issues/concerns arise.
  • Interact with courthouse staff, other units within the department, local law enforcement, and other districts to ensure the continuous delivery of services to clients.
  • Review of data for the purposes of reporting trends that will impact work across the District.
  • Become knowledgeable about and assist staff with the ICOTS process.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to four years of full-time work in human services, criminal justice, or corrections.
  • A total of eight years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Probation/Parole Officer 3.
