Overview
The Integrated Enterprise Improvement Team is seeking a highly motivated candidate who can operate with minimal supervision and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills to join the team and drive performance to attain the Navy desired 1 Columbia and 2 Virginia annual production rate. This role supports enterprise strategies that include Cost Reduction, Continuous Improvement, Technology Deployment and Span Reduction tasking, which is aimed at improving the manufacturability and affordability of the Columbia and Virginia Class Programs by implementing changes to the existing ship design, manufacturing processes, or businesses practices. This team regularly interfaces with Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design and Engineering, VCS Program Office, CLB Program Office, Design Build, Groton Operations, Quonset Point Operations, Materials Management, EB upper management, and Navy customers.
The candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of a significant subset of the overarching strategy for attaining construction readiness of 1 CLB and 2 VCS by 2028 (e.g. non-nuclear scope span reduction, etc.). - Prioritizing, Managing and Integrating a portfolio of improvement efforts aligned to a strategy that will increase submarine production rate
- Development and management of multiple project plans with stakeholders that align with enterprise objectives
- Preparation of materials for various programmatic reviews with NAVSEA stakeholders and EB upper management
- Interfacing frequently and independently with NAVSEA stakeholders to update project and strategy status and progress
- Communication with all levels of the enterprise
- Resolve funding issues within tasking to allow work to continue uninterrupted
- Provide mentorship and guidance
- Support strategy development for Enterprise Improvement
- Drive organizational performance towards attaining enterprise goals
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
- 4 years of experience in Program Office, Process Engineering, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Test
Preferred:
- Experience supporting major construction evolutions or other relevant operations experience
- Supervisory Experience
- Knowledge of management tools and EB business systems (i.e., Artemis, EVMS or other EB specific tools)
- Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Training
