Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Learning Technologies/Programs to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).
This position manages the Training department's learning and procedures technologies and training program integration, including continuous improvement tools and their application. Ensures program consistency, cost-effectiveness, and successful implementation of learning technologies and tools, ensuring personnel are well-equipped and empowered to learn and improve their knowledge/skills.

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. This position manages the Training department's learning and procedures technologies and training program integration, including continuous improvement tools and their application. Ensures program consistency, cost-effectiveness, and successful implementation of learning technologies and tools, ensuring personnel are well-equipped and empowered to learn and improve their knowledge/skills.
Responsibilities
- Seeks technology solutions that align to overall training goals and objectives for all facilities and training methods (e.g. online, classroom, field, simulator etc.). This includes, but is not limited to, researching industry best practices, evaluating current and enhanced process improvement, efficiency generation, ease-of-use evaluation, change management assessment, and build versus buy analyses and costing.
- Primary point of contact with IT/OT for the procurement of vendor software or internal application development. Creates business requirements, RPF materials, Cyber forms, and other documents as required.
- Oversees or provides input/decisions related to software functionality, configuration, interfaces, and process flow.
- Functions as Project Manager for new technology implementation and communications plans. (e.g. SRMC ownership of mission specific applications of iCAS EPS or SumTotal Learning Management System (LMS)). Conducts periodic evaluations of effectiveness, leads enhancements, and "super user" maintenance.
- Interfaces with Senior Management in the selection of learning technologies with focus on automation and exploration of AI-based delivery models and work tools.
- Leads company efforts to exploit existing SRS technology into our environment.
- Leads teams of instructional designers as they develop and implement training content on newly implemented software.
- Functions as business system owner for third party software. Works with vendor for enhanced functionality, coordinating for system upgrades/patches, and general system administration. Liaises with IT/OT on all Cyber and IT technical activities.
- Recommends budgets and major expenditures for training technology services, equipment and materials, and other resources in connection with training and qualification programs.
- Represents and responds to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., DOE-SR, DNFSB, FEB, Site Training) inquiries and audits.
- Collaborates with IT/OT on simulator modifications
- Evaluates, consolidates and/or streamlines Microsoft Office data sets used for inhouse training administration. Provides technical maintenance for these tools and databases.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and relevant professional work experience; or
- High School diploma and/or secondary education and relevant professional work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in Nuclear Operations Management
- Demonstrated experience in large scale technology deployments across multiple implementing organizations
- In-depth working knowledge of agile project delivery methodologies
- Highly effective interpersonal skills for establishing and cultivating positive working relationships
- Knowledge of INPO operations and training regulations and requirements, and industrial codes and standards
- Current SRMC Training Process Knowledge/Experience
