Cyber Security Analyst
Job Overview:
East Coast Warehouse is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As the Cyber Security Expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, leading audit engagements, and overseeing the security framework for our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, enhancing security controls, and fostering a security-first culture across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices tailored to our business needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
- Conduct security risk assessments and create a roadmap for improving security posture.
Audit & Risk Management:
- Lead security audit engagements and respond to internal and external audits.
- Establish a risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to address security gaps and improve overall resilience.
Security Oversight & Implementation:
- Conduct security assessments and recommend controls to strengthen infrastructure, networks, and applications.
- Oversee access control, identity management, and endpoint security solutions.
- Work closely with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into system design and operations.
Incident Response & Training:
- Establish and maintain an incident response plan, ensuring rapid detection and mitigation of threats.
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security.
- Monitor security events and work with IT teams to improve threat detection and response capabilities.
Position Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in policy development and risk management.
- Proven experience engaging with audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, etc.).
- Strong understanding of cloud security (Azure) and endpoint security.
- Ability to assess risks, develop security roadmaps, and implement security improvements from scratch.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, etc.) are a plus.
