Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Responsibilities
- Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
- Designs, develops, and tests electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within equipment or machinery.
- Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
- Develops new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components, and in application of components to products or systems.
- May use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
- Contributes to the analysis and characterization of the systems including system error analysis, failure mode analysis, and cost analysis.
- Designs test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products, and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.
Qualifications
- Top Secret Clearance
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with test systems, including hardware setup, software configuration, and troubleshooting.
- 2-5 years experience with electronics.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) electronics and equipment.
- Bash and Python programming skills.
