Electronics Technician

Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
• Designs, develops, and tests electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within equipment or machinery.
• Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
• Develops new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components, and in application of components to products or systems.
• May use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
• Contributes to the analysis and characterization of the systems including system error analysis, failure mode analysis, and cost analysis.
• Designs test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products, and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance
• Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with test systems, including hardware setup, software configuration, and troubleshooting.
• 2-5 years experience with electronics.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) electronics and equipment.
• Bash and Python programming skills.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77,600.00/Yr. - USD $129,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
