JOB SUMMARY
Supervise accounting staff and track day-to-day accounting processes. Develop and implement accounting processes for collecting, analyzing, and verifying financial information.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise accounting staff and assist with performance evaluations of accounting staff.
- Run Month-End and Year-End Close processes, including but not limited to the preparation and review of detailed journal entries, including payroll and employee benefits transactions, and preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations.
- Oversee the day to day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, general ledger and accounts receivable
- Oversee cash management including assisting with all lender reporting
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation, presentation, and analysis. Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
- Design, develop, and review complex cost allocations and reconciliations.
- Identify potential accounting issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop and implement business flow processes to determine system improvements as needed.
- Perform advanced numerical data analysis.
- Prepare various organizational filings for local, state, and federal agencies within required timelines.
- Assist in annual financial statement audit including preparation of work-papers and documentation.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the VP of Corporate Finance
- Comply with all TURN rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with the OMB Circular A-133 preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, standards, regulations, laws, and practices.
- Experience with financial systems and software (Specifically Netsuite)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, regularly work with and understand Excel.
- Strong leadership and verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to both work independently and effectively collaborate with a team.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks and utilize critical thinking skills.
