STRIKE Qualification Test Engineer

Purpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a STRIKE Qualification Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL for the STRIKE Test and Evaluation Team.

Job Description:

• Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems.
• Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors, Live Fire.
• Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD).
• Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features.
• Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle.
• This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems.

Qualifications:

• Must have a BS or BA degree and at least 10 years of test and evaluation experience.
• Must have at least 5 years experience in weapon system qualification testing (can be part of the 10 years above).
• Must have experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464) .

Desired Qualifications:

• Redstone Test Center (RTC) or other lab experience preferred.

Security Requirements:

• Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel-Up to 40%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

• This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems.
• Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl and talk/hear.
• Require moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
