Overview
The Agile Project Manager will be an integral part of the Enterprise Data Management group and overall Data Platform Team at AJG. The role is responsible for managing data projects of varying size and complexity.
We are looking for someone with Agile and Scrum knowledge and experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies. This role reports to the Data PMO and works closely with the Product Owner to lead high-profile projects.
This role is responsible for the schedule, scope, budget and quality of the project from initiation through production deployment through hand over to support. Accountable for the successful delivery of services which meet the defined business and technical requirements on time and within budget and improve business and technology processes by managing significant, multi-disciplinary programs and projects. Leads multiple technology and technology related projects.

How you'll make an impact
- The duties associated with an Agile framework include maintaining communication with stakeholders, creating detailed documentation, continually assessing progress and course-correcting, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality work.
- Develops and maintains project artifacts in DevOps, to include the project plan including budget, schedule and resources using the Agile framework.
- Develop and manage product backlogs, setting team and sprint objectives.
- Organize and facilitate meetings.
- Organize Daily Standup's, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Acts as the leader to the project team guiding them towards meeting project objectives.
- Interfaces with business owners, IT, and SME's to facilitate requirements gathering and UAT / Change management during deployment phase.
- Constant communication with project sponsor on project progress, issues, risks and mitigation.
- Maintain key project artifacts such as user stories, project charter, product vision, product backlogs, sprint plans, product roadmap, and release plan.
- Provide weekly project status updates and monthly executive status updates.
- Evaluates project request in terms of strategic direction of business and opportunities to leverage existing technologies/applications.
- Actively participates in all project phases such as requirements, architecture, design and testing to provide guidance to the team.
- Proactively identify and champion opportunities to further streamline and improve the business process.
- Operationally trouble shoots complex issues, co-ordinates integration of various modules and ensures compliance with expected quality standards.
- Clarifies scope, and recommends alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization.
- Manages all communication with business users; keeps users informed and updated regularly. Adapts project updates/presentations to audience.
- Participates in multiple key initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to drive consensus among various stakeholders, including technology management and third parties.
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and to collaborate effectively with technology, application, compliance, and audit personnel at multiple levels
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and cope with conflicting deadlines.
- Knowledge of data privacy restrictions on the use of data.
Skills:
About You
- Diploma or degree in a technical discipline or similar.
- 10+ years related Project Management experience required.
- Agile Framework.
- Azure DevOps experience
- Planview experience is a plus
- Experience producing detailed project schedules and resource requirements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - must be comfortable speaking and writing to senior level executives.
- Extensive experience in project reporting, including senior level briefing.
- PMP or PMI-ACP Agile Certified
