We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead, strategize, and elevate our sales operations, driving remarkable growth. In this high-impact role, you'll ensure WSI's sales process is executed flawlessly while partnering with Marketing to convert leads into major business wins. This executive position offers a competitive salary and reports directly to the President.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Oversees revenue growth and maximization of facility space utilization.
  • Develops, articulates, and drives the execution of the sales strategy.
  • Designs and implements effective sales processes to acquire and retain customers.
  • Analyzes key performance metrics to enhance sales team productivity and success.
  • Stays informed on emerging sales trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Cultivates and strengthens organizational talent to build a high-performing sales team.
  • Collaborates with the VP of Marketing to streamline processes and achieve superior results.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Leads recruitment, training, and performance management of the sales team.
  • Establishes and refines sales methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conducts market research to identify new business opportunities and influence product development.
  • Aligns sales strategies with overall business objectives to maximize impact.
  • Monitors sales performance indicators and implements strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong relationships and negotiating effectively.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • In-depth expertise in sales processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights to optimize sales strategies.
  • Extensive experience in sales leadership roles within the third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Adaptable and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting market conditions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, or other industry-related field required.
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience, including three years in upper management required.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, at a desk in front of a computer screen.
  • Proficient use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as well as the ability to type, scroll, and click efficiently.
  • Occasional light lifting and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds, such as office supplies or small equipment.
  • Ability to move within an office, including occasional walking, bending, reaching, and climbing short flights of stairs.
  • Clear communication, both verbal and written, including phone conversations, virtual meetings, and face-to-face.
  • Adequate vision to read documents, use computer screens, and navigate office space.
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise, such as printers, telephones, and office conversations.
