We are looking for a Director: IT Infrastructure to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the CIO and based in San Jose, California. This is a fully on-site, in-office role that will require working with colleagues across the globe and in different time-zones.

$203,000.00 - $292,100.00

We are looking for a Director: IT Infrastructure to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the CIO and based in San Jose, California. Role and Responsibilities
- Lead Bloom Energy's Global IT Infrastructure Solutions, Network Operations and Service Desk Support teams that foster strategic partnerships with departments, develop and deliver solutions that support business needs.
- Developing the IT Infrastructure strategy and translating it into actionable roadmap and goals with emphasis on cloud first approach.
- Run AWS infrastructure to ensure high degree of cost optimization, streamlined provisioning (Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, etc.), effective management, scalability, and increased security of applications and services.
- Coordinate efforts to streamline and modernize the customer fleet network (M2M) for increased redundancy and better serviceability.
- Managing enterprise SD-WAN network and coordinating IT activities to ensure the availability of secure network services and data services.
- Optimize the investment in O365 to establish voice, chat, teamwork, OneDrive and document sharing to the next level and responsible use of AI capabilities.
- Managing the Service Desk for contributing and enhancing employee experience through workplace practices that deliver a positive and productive experience for employees.
- Directing the sourcing and implementation of new software and hardware as well as managing vendor relationships and negotiate IT Contracts.
- Formulating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans including implementation of monitoring and management processes and technologies.
- Overseeing departmental budgeting and forecasting within the organization
- Directing IT staff recruitment and directly supervising employees
- Collaborating with Information Security team for identifying security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions
- Identifying and recommending new technology solutions and migration strategies to utilize the public cloud to support company growth
- Ensure application and service SLA's are met. Develop and maintain key metrics to monitor SLAs including customer service satisfaction.
- Effective communication at all levels and fosters team building within and across teams
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or related field or equivalent industry experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in network, server, hardware and software virtualized infrastructure environments and the management thereof with a deep understanding on AWS cloud services,O365, and Machine to Machine (M2M, IoT), and Information Security technologies and best practices
- Excellent experience with monitoring and management technologies for AWS cloud, on- premise, and hybrid environments
- Experience leading a department and prior experience managing teams and organizations in excess of 25 professionals
- Experience in running large, global high availability information technology solutions
- Experience in working with manufacturing plants will be beneficial
- Experience developing processes that complies with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Experience in forecasting needs - headcount, project capital, and expense budgets
- Experience with large data environments and data processing and retention policies
- Experience with telephony, audio visual and conferencing equipment and software
- Running service desk teams for a global company with APAC and US team collaboration
- Resourceful in managing IT costs and cross-skilling employees
- Requires attention to detail and transparent communication
