Description:
The responsibilities of the position include expert, operational, hands-on support of all aspects of the network infrastructure including:
Configuration, installation, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of next-generation firewalls, network backup diversity, load balancers, routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, network security, and (Juniper Software-defined networks (SDN), JUNOS), port configuration, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, DNS, VPN, etc.
Designing, implementing, administrating, and maintaining a complex, secure, and highly reliable network infrastructure, documenting and troubleshooting network components, and recommend new technologies and solutions.
Primary duties:
Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and adherence to NIST standards.
Administer and build network security systems.
Administer routing and switching, logging and security event analysis, and firewalls.
Lead compliance duties such as security patch assessments, quarterly cyber access reviews, and verification of electronic access privileges.
Administer modeling software and review business rules for access.
Troubleshoot advanced systems/topologies/storage and support critical customers in a utility environment.
Provide collaborative input to infrastructure planning and design.
Provide leadership and guidance (mentoring) to junior team members using motivational and collaborative skills.
This position supports 24-hour radio network operations and requires on-site work. All applicants must clear a criminal background check.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience and demonstrated knowledge in design of a highly available and scalable network using Juniper devices for a large enterprise consisting of multiple data centers and customer sites.
Experience and demonstrated knowledge designing a complex network architecture adhering to local IT architecture guidelines, firewall policies, network diversity, working with various vendors and ISPs.
Experience and demonstrated knowledge in analyzing and identifying solutions to resolve issues impacting high availability of network communication systems with enterprise and broadband networks, ISP connectivity, and Radio Frequency (RF) network.
Experience and demonstrated knowledge in implementing disaster recovery and fault tolerant solutions and documenting a detailed disaster recovery plan for networks and systems.
