Job Title: Multi Modality Imaging Technologist
Job Specialty: Multi Modality Imaging Technologist
Job Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Mix of PM and day shift: 7 on/7 off
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of one year of current clinical experience in each modality
License: Current State license as a Radiographer
Certifications: ARRT registered, Registered by the ARRT in CT, Mammography, or Bones Density within 18 months of hire/transfer, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an approved equivalent
Must-Have: Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program
Job Description:
- Prepare patients, perform imaging procedures, and operate imaging equipment under the direction of a radiologist or other providers.
- Perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while using appropriate radiation protection measures.
- Adhere to organizational customer service standards and support organizational excellence initiatives.
- Provide positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Perform ancillary services and assist in patient care areas as necessary.
- Work in two or more of the following modalities and meet the requirements of advanced certification: Bone Densitometry, CT, Diagnostic X-ray, and Mammography.
- Work independently in the hospital performing x-rays and CT scans on primarily emergency department patients and in-patients.
- Expected to work any holidays that fall on the regular shift rotation of 7 on/7 off.
Note: Candidate should have an additional 1-2 years of college/university coursework or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field.
