Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Generative AI Practice Director to join our dynamic team and drive the development of advanced AI systems that have capabilities to learn, reason and make decisions autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the strategic direction for the development and deployment of Generative AI systems, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge AI capabilities across multiple business domains.
- Oversee the design of scalable, secure, and efficient AI systems capable of handling complex data and tasks.
- Design and develop the architecture and infrastructure for Gen AI systems, including mechanisms for data storage, processing, and retrieval, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and efficiency for large algorithms.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AI systems, from conceptualization to deployment and continuous optimization.
- Ensure AI systems are designed for flexibility, scalability, and high performance across various use cases, including NLP, computer vision, and decision-making models.
- Guide the team in the deployment of Generative AI models in cloud environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience. Develop strategies to monitor, iterate, and scale AI models while ensuring production-level efficiency.
- Work closely with product management leads to ensure alignment between engineering and product goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to define AI requirements and deliver AI solutions that meet business objectives.
- Communicate complex technical AI concepts and progress to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Represent the organization's AI capabilities externally at industry events and conferences, shaping the company's position as an AI innovator.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure the quality and relevance of data for AI model training.
- Implement evaluation methodologies to measure the performance and effectiveness of trained models. Collaborate with data scientists to Fine tune models to improve these algorithms to enhance system performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate to integrate AI systems into partner platforms or frameworks. Ensure seamless communication and compatibility between AI components and other software modules.
- Adhere to ethical AI practices, such as fairness, transparency, and accountability. Address biases and potential risks associated with AI systems to ensure responsible
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI technologies, frameworks, and algorithms. Conduct research and experimentation to explore innovative approaches and techniques that can enhance AI capabilities.
Mandatory Qualifications/Skills:
- A bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in AI engineering, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing large AI engineering teams.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering. Solid understanding of various fine tuning techniques like full fine tuning, PEFT techniques like LoRA, QLoRA and the strategy to adopt for various use cases
- Solid understanding of AI concepts, algorithms, and methodologies.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions
- Experience in defining and implementing AI/ML architectural patterns and best practices
- Experience in Designing, developing and deploying robust, scalable, and secure AI solutions.
- Proven understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience deploying AI models on these platforms.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
- In-depth knowledge of both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Vector databases, MongoDB, Cassandra etc).
- Strong expertise in Gen AI/AI libraries / frameworks, including but not limited to LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit and Keras
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of Responsible AI practices and compliance with relevant laws is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of NVIDIA CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, and experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware and the software stack.
- Familiarity with High-Performance Computing (HPC) and their integration AI workloads.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms and technologies, such as Hadoop or Apache Spark and their integration with AI solutions.
