Description:
Asante is seeing four General Gastroenterologists to join our award-winning teams in beautiful Medford, Oregon. We provide services at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC), a 378-bed level II trauma center and regional referral hospital, offering robotics and a hybrid OR suite.

Education:Licensed physician and graduate of an approved medical school. Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology required.
License / Certification:MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners; Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from American Heart Association; Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Medical Specialties; Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges; Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Required: General GI Candidates must be able to demonstrate competence in:
- Outpatient and inpatient practice including longitudinal management of complicated cirrhotic (pre- and post-transplant), liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and general gastrointestinal complaints
- Team management including supervising and directing advanced practice clinicians
- Screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic colonoscopy including biopsy, snare polypectomy and the use of argon plasma coagulation
- Screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic EGD including esophageal dilation (balloon and Savary), PEG placement and management of acute variceal and on-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding using banding, sclerotherapy, cautery, and clipping techniques
- Esophageal function testing including high resolution esophageal manometry and esophageal pH studies
- Interpretation of video capsule enteroscopy
- Therapeutic ERCP including biliary and pancreatic duct cannulation, management of choledocholithiasis and biliary strictures
- Diagnostic EUS, including fine needle aspiration
- (Optional) Management of pancreatic pseudocyst including endoscopic pseudocystgastrostomy placement
