Position Overview:
The position will support the Property Tax Manager in managing the full property tax cycle for real and personal property accounts within a large organization with multiple legal entities. Responsibilities include processing secured and unsecured tax bills, assisting with welfare exemption and property tax filings, and maintaining property assessments and jurisdictional tax details. The position involves tracking and monitoring jurisdictional deadlines for filings, audits, appeals, mailing, and payment dates. Additionally, it includes researching tax issues, reconciling data, and working with local jurisdictions to verify calculations and methodologies. The position will also assist with property tax audits, assessment reviews, and participate in on-site inspections with local jurisdictions throughout California to support property tax-related activities.

Pay Range is $36.59 to $54.89 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Job Description:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of recent or relevant experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- Valid Driver's License
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- In-depth knowledge and experience in both personal property tax and real property tax assessment and valuation methods.
- Strong understanding of property tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel with creating, developing, and interpreting detailed spreadsheets.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve goals and objectives.
- Critical thinking analytical skills.
- Organization skills and attention to details.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to meet with local jurisdictions within the company's footprint.
