The contractor will provide critical support in planning, coordination, collaboration, execution, and assessment of Taiwan-related Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) within the Future Operations (FOPS) section of the G-3 Division. This position will involve close integration with U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) to enhance the readiness, effectiveness, and collaboration of the MARFORPAC staff regarding Taiwan-related strategic objectives. The contractor will maintain a strategic and long-term planning capability to ensure that all Taiwan-related operations and initiatives align with broader U.S. military and geopolitical priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning and Coordination: Lead planning efforts for Taiwan-related OAIs, ensuring synchronization with U.S. military objectives and strategic priorities within the Indo-Pacific region. Support the coordination of these operations across MARFORPAC, PACFLT, USARPAC, and USINDOPACOM.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Foster effective collaboration between MARFORPAC, PACFLT, USARPAC, and USINDOPACOM in support of Taiwan-related operations. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of plans and integration of resources across different operational domains.
  • Execution Support: Provide support in the execution of Taiwan-related OAIs, ensuring that operations are carried out according to established plans and timelines. Offer real-time coordination and problem-solving assistance during the execution phase.
  • Strategic and Long-Term Planning: Maintain strategic and long-term planning capability within the FOPS section of the G-3 Division. Ensure that Taiwan-related operations are aligned with overarching U.S. military strategies and objectives in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments of Taiwan-related operations and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and recommending adjustments as needed to enhance effectiveness and readiness.
  • Briefing and Reporting: Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and other forms of documentation to senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing updates on Taiwan-related operations and initiatives. Ensure that all communications are clear, concise, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Operational Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with Taiwan-related operations and initiatives. Work with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and ensure operations are conducted with minimal risk to personnel, resources, and mission objective.

EDUCATION
  • Master's degree. Will consider a bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of operations planning experience at MAJCOM, Combatant Command or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Marine Corps Planning Process and the Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (RPIE) public planning process.
  • Five to 10 years of experience with USMC MAGTF Planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational planning, communication synchronization, service and joint doctrine, and Marine Corps componence issues.
  • Advanced proficiency with using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Teams, Words, Power Pt., etc.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in the integration of joint, combined, and multinational military operations, with a focus on Taiwan or the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Experience working with USINDOPACOM, PACFLT, USARPAC, or other theater commands in operational planning and execution.
  • Strong understanding of the security environment in the Indo-Pacific region, with a specific focus on Taiwan-related strategic objectives.
  • Expertise in operational planning processes, including the development and execution of OAIs.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, including senior military leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel may be required.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
  • All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider

SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • A TS/SCI Clearance is required for this position.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
  • $120,000-$160,000
